You know how Muppets flail their arms in excitement? I have done that over a carton of chocolate milk. (It was seriously the best chocolate milk Id ever had. Organic, made with cocoa. Youd die.) Life is fucking rad, guys. Like it really, really is. I used to be a too-cool-for-school cynic, but life was so boring. Because you can always find the mediocre and make fun of it. Finding the really great is a lot more challenging, and telling people about it is a lot more fun. Never before has it occurred to me that my enthusiasm suggested a lack of capacity for critical thought. But yesterday, fellow Rioter Jodi wrote  a piece about what she perceived as misplaced enthusiasm that rubbed me all kinds of the wrong way. So heres my enthusiastic, slightly crotchety response. I think Jodi misses two things: 1. Just because I only talk about things I am enthusiastic about does not mean I am enthusiastic about all things. 2. Book blogs that focus on the negative. Book blogs that make me think, No, but seriously, do you even like books? And I dont seek those blogs out to read very often. (Like right now, Im reading Ed Riches EASY TO LIKE, and its a really charming read a funny cultural satire I would recommend to lovers of wine and cinema and the CBC. I could tell you about the book I read on the plane that kind of bored me silly, but I dont want to spend energy on that book. Its not fun to me.) Which leads me to point two: blogging is a thing I do for fun. I loves ya, Book Riot, but you dont pay the bills, so I better enjoy the time I spend with you. And I do, because I choose to talk about things that delight me. In my day job, I write literary criticism and read undergraduate essays. Trust me, I get umpteen chances every day to think critically and reconstruct the literary world for the better (ha!). In my downtime, I want to read and discuss awesome things. As a reader, hearing how much someone loves every book they read tells me nothing about the book. It does tell me a lot about the enthusiast. First of all globalization has brought the idea of individualism, which is challenging the social cohesion [5]. With the more and more advancements in the technology, the e-waste is becoming more of an issue. There has not been found any proper way to dump that waste. [6] Electronics companies are using hazardous materials in their products, which are not good for the human beings. Especially lead is causing damage to the environment. Researchers are trying to find the alternative of lead, but they have not found it yet. Disposal of E-waste is a global problem which is mostly done by land filling and incineration. The waste which is landfilled, produces contaminated leachates polluting the ground water resources and if waste is disposed on the land, the sludge and the acids produced from the melted components causes acidification of soil whereas, the incineration of E-waste causes air pollution due to emission of highly toxic fumes and gases. The general challenge which globalization is facing that to make the global system more efficient and more equitable, which could be the best possible way to reduce poverty and the inequality [7]. Another factor which is a challenge to the globalization is the fear of instability by globalization, which is specifically among the developing countries [8]. V. CONCLUSION Some argue that globalization is driven by technology, and that it represents an unstoppable force. Globalization through technology has created more chances for the better communication flow for both less and more developed countries. It has given opportunities to increase the trade and education flow and then allocation of better resources to meet standards around the world. The less developed countries have gained a lot from the techno globalization, by bringing growth and development to their industries like employment, technical education etc. As a whole, globalization through technology has not brought the negative impact on the developing countries. These countries has been profited and developed into a more successful region through the technology. The countries which could not take part in the globalization, lack certain factors. Those factors can be the good geographic market location, by which that county would be able to trade at its best, and the other factors can be the institutions and supporting policies, these factors are required to resist against the corruption and the poverty in some cases [4]. The United States is perhaps the only modern state in which presidents are elected indirectly through the Electoral College system. In the U.S., the el ectors in the Electoral College represent the 50 states and the federal district of Columbia. However, each state is accorded electors corresponding to its total congressional representation in both houses. In addition to these electors, the non-state District of Columbia has three electors. In the U.S where the law requires one to marshal 270 electoral votes to win the presidency, the Electoral College generally votes for whichever contender wins the popular vote in each state (Bugh 67). Electoral College Reform Proposals Several proposals or reform options have been suggested regarding the need to reform the Electoral College in the U.S. First, the Electoral College could be reformed by altering the organization of the states in the U.S. That is, the territory should be re-divided into equally sized 50 bodies with roughly equal populations. An advantage of this proposal is that it would end the over-representation of small states and the under-representation of big states in U.S presidential and senate voting. Further, this proposal will not do away with the Electoral College; rather, it will preserve and ensure the continued existence of the unique federal system and the Electoral College (Bugh 67). In addition, there will still be a balance of authority among different government levels. What is more, the states should be re-districted after every census. However, there are several challenges and disadvantages associated with these proposals. For instance, local authorities and residents would have to deal with the shifting state procedures and laws. The other reform option s for the Electoral College system in the U.S include direct election followed by instant runoffs, proportional allocation of electoral votes, and direct vote with plurality rule, congressional district method, and national bonus plan (Ross & Will 165). Direct Election with Runoff With or without the Electoral College, instant runoff voting is a highly recommended approach to elections in the U.S. In this system, voters would be required to rank their preferred candidates so that in case no candidate emerges a clear winner and whoever has the lowest number of votes is automatically eliminated. Counting begins again during which second choice votes, which indicate the eliminated candidate as first choice are tallied. This process continues until a candidate with majority votes emerges. I opened the door only to find an empty house. No one was there like I expected. I was going to be an aunt for the first time and I was looking forward to finding out it was going to boy or a girl. It seemed as though the whole day went by until I saw our car in the driveway. I rushed to the door anxious and excited, only to find tears dropping from my mom’s eyes, and my sister-in-law Holly sadder than I’d ever seen anyone. My mom took me in the bedroom and explained to me the ultra sound showed some serious problems with the baby. He had spina-bifida and severe fluid on his brain. She explained that the doctors said my nephew had little to no chance of living, but if some miracle would happen and my nephew would live, he would live a very short life and be a complete vegetable. A month and a half went by and on May 14,1993 Terry Paul Daniels was born. His little head was the size of a basketball and he had a hole in the lower part of his back.
